Bicyclists Coming to Richmond, VA, USA

UCI Road World Championships for 2015 are being hosted by my little city, 19 - 27 September. I'm very excited about this. 450,000 visitors are expected! About 1,000 of the world’s top cyclists from about 75 countries will compete. I live in a neighborhood that will be only blocks from the courses. How fun is this!
 So, to share my excitement, I'm putting out a Mail Art call. If you ride a bicycle, used to ride a bicycle, wish you rode a bicycle, or just plain like bicycles, please send me some Mail Art for this exhibit.

the theme: BICYCLES, of course.

Size: standard postcard, preferred.
      ( include your return address, an e-mail address, website, if you have one, so you   can be notified when your work is scanned and posted.)

To date, I have two venues participating, Rostov's Coffee and Tea,  West Main Village, and Sola Salon Studios. I'm anticipating more, depending on the number of cards received.

Frauenrechte | Merkwürdigkeit einer Collage

Als ich die Collage Frauenrechte kreierte, hatte ich natürlich
 den Wunsch, wie es uns KünstlerInnen anheim ist, mehr 
als ein Werk zu schaffen. Ich wollte als Frau damit wirksam,
 sarkastisch und ansprechend dem leider immer noch
 weit verbreiteten Unrecht, dass Frauen eine eigene
 Sichtweise und Meinung abgesprochen und zum
 Sexualobjekt degradiert wird, Rechnung tragen. 
Und es gelang! Mehrmals sogar :)

Im ASLI-Magazine von Art Saves Lives International ist 
die Collage im Rahmen der Aktion “Celebration of Women”
 zusammen mit einem Interview veröffentlicht:

„Eine von Fünf - Ringvorlesung“
Gemeinsam mit dem Department für Gerichtsmedizin der

 MedUni Wien veranstaltete der Verein Autonome Österreichische

 Frauenhäuser eine interdisziplinäre Ringvorlesung, deren

 Auftaktveranstaltung im Volkskundemuseum in Wien stattfand,

 und meine Collage war dabei!

Moda Mujer | Paraguay

Von 9. März bis 8. April 2015 war Frauenrechte im Rahmen 

der Ausstellung Qui est Je ? Chi è Io ? Who is I?in Chauny

 (Frankreich) zu sehen.

In Paraguay nimmt die Collage in Form einer Postkarte am 

Internationalen Projekt Moda Mujer teil.

Die Merkwürdigkeit - des Merkens würdig - bedeutet mir
 gerade bei diesem Werk sehr viel! Bin ich ja selbst Frau
 und erlebe seit frühester Jugend, wie oft wir belächelt,
 ignoriert und verunglimpft werden, wenn wir eine eigene 
Meinung und Sichtweise - zB in traditionellen Männerdomänen
 - vortragen. Die Degradierung zum Sexualobjekt erübrigt
 sich zu erklären. Ich persönlich bin sehr gerne Frau, habe so
 einige, den Männern zugesprochene Aktivitäten zelebriert,
 erregte auch gerne mit Sexappeal Aufmerksamkeit, doch zum
 Objekt, zur Sache für fleischliche Gelüste degradiert zu werden,
 war und ist mir zutiefst zuwider.

ASLI Revista

Cuando creé los derechos collage de las mujeres, por supuesto,
 tuve el deseo, como nosotros los artistas aprovechan es crear 
más de una obra. Quería una mujer tan eficaz, sarcástico y
 atractiva vistiendo la injusticia desgracia todavía generalizada
 de que las mujeres tendrán sus propias opiniones y dictámenes
 discutidos y degradado objeto sexual, factura. Y sucedió! Varias
 veces incluso :)

En ASLI Revista de Arte ahorra vidas collage Internacional en el
 contexto de la "Fiesta de la Mujer", que se publica junto con una 
entrevista:

"Uno de los Cinco - Conferencia"

Junto con el Departamento de Medicina Forense de la Universidad
 de Medicina de Viena organizada por las mujeres austriacas alberga
 una serie de conferencias interdisciplinario, celebró su evento
 inaugural en el Museo del Folclore en Viena, y mi collage estaba allí!

De 9 marzo-8 abril 2015 derechos de la mujer era parte de la
 exposición Qui est Je? Chi è Io? ¿Quién es yo? en Chauny
 (Francia) para ver.

En Paraguay, el collage toma la forma de una postal en la
 parte de proyecto internacional Moda Mujer.

La rareza - digno de memorización - me refiero sólo en este
 trabajo mucho! ¿Estoy aún Mujer y la experiencia de una edad
 temprana, ya que estamos a menudo ridiculizados, ignorados
 y denigrados cuando somos dueños de opinión y punto de vista
 - por ejemplo, en los dominios tradicionales masculinos - presentes.
 El descenso de categoría a un objeto sexual no es necesario
 explicar. Personalmente, soy mujer muy feliz, se había celebrado
 como algunos hombres otorgan actividades, también atrajo gusta
 ser degradado con atención el atractivo sexual, pero con el objeto
, hasta el punto de deseos carnales, y yo estaba profundamente
 repugnante.
